| That's the kind of garbage that's getting our launches parked out now and bringing some folks who aren't quite ready for it. Jackass was there twice in June and now feels experienced enough to give a report (from a winger's perspective). |

Anybody else think AI has got a warped sense of reality, just like in my nightmares?

A"I" is garbage, IMHO. It doesn't belong in the wild, for countless reasons. And it is a major deal for the Gorge! (Data centers, huge electrical cable at the bottom of the Columbia, pollution, warming water, etc.). But the rendition of Captain Ahab expertly windsurfing downwind on a busted kid's boom was pretty funny.

I'm not sure bumper stickers will stop David Sacks and his Paypal Mafia from dismantling any protections we citizens once had any chance of seeing against AI monetizing us: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/12/eliminating-state-law-obstruction-of-national-artificial-intelligence-policy
Note that we don't yet have nation-level privacy protections in place, which federal AI policy would need to be based on (given how AI governance works)... hell, we have a senator calling for national driving standards for autonomous vehicles when we don't even have them for human drivers! 🙄
