Hexatraction (by RSPro)... interesting. Hadn't heard of it, but the Amazon reviews are mixed, with paddleboarders tending to like it and many surfers saying it's not quite grippy enough. Also interested in hearing firsthand here!

Not sure if NSI in Hood River still carries RS Pro Hexatraction, but I would think you would be better off with one of their thinner EVA foam products for strapless traction since it would also offer a bit of cushioning to protect your board (and heels).
