Mon Oct 30, 23 11:16 am Foil mast/baseplate question |
|
|
I have a Naish aluminum mast with a standard baseplate. The connection seemed loose. So I took out the screws - it took some work to get it off because it looks like there was an adhesive connecting the two. The end of the aluminum mast shows the foam filler in the hollow parts. I assume the adhesive is mainly to keep water from getting into the foam? Also it adds strength to the connection? What type of sealer/adhesive should I use to put it back together?
