KiteKarl might be familar with it but I'd be surprised. This place is on Samish Island, not too far from Bellingham. Our usual NW wind spot on Chuckanut Dr wasn't working cuz it was too easterly, so a 20 minute drive delivered the goods. Awesome spot to ride but you need permission from the caretaker, luckily he was there, other days people couldn't find him. No permission, no kite

Yeah, I know the spot. Never got out on the water there though. Those are some great pix. It would seem that that spot on an easterly day would be pretty gusty though since you've got the galbraith hills just up the way.

On a real winter NE it probably would suck, but Saturday was slightly NE, just enough E that the wind didn't hug Chuckanut Dr, but was fine at Kirby. In the overlook pic you can see it's a tad offshore.
