Wide flat board made for going upwind in lightwind conditions...much easier to pull out and use than blowing up a 20M kite...and guessing it will compliment the SS Machine really well...very hard to sink this board!

Real square tips too, which has been shown to really help going upwind.

I think its going to be a winner. Lots of 10knot days down in SPI for Doyle to get the lightwind equation dialed. Not sure how good its going to be when the wind comes up, probably like a skimboard... you keep it on the beach and grab it when its too light for your regular board, then switch back when the wind comes back up.

Ask and thou shall receive from the Bammer... Personally I think that the board has a lot more to do with how light you can go over the kite. Keep an eye out on the Slingshot website as I think more information is about to be posted. You can also see some of the Bam's "A" level stuff.

Aaron was ripping pretty good on this 17.5m Machine/Glide set-up in basically a ducks fart of wind. On the outside he was busting pretty good air, but was too far away and it was too dark to even bother taking photographs.

Enjoy... Jon

Bam - good job getting on Slingy's website... but isn't that like sharing Russian spy photos with China? ... What?

You know what I mean. Wink

Not really...

Any advertisement is good advertisement for the Glide and Slingshot... Nothing you see here is going to be used by Slingshot, and the board really is a nice lightwind tool!

any dimesions? width, length, rocker? doesn't look that big. and the flag in the background is looking like 12knots I'd say?

That flag is a poor wind meter... It is so light and tattered that it makes four knots look like a gale... Water looks pretty glassy...

Here is the windgraph from that evening

10MPH was the max out there after 5PM
I couldnt make my 20M X3 and 48" skimboard work anymore
and Aaron was out doing tricks and jumps.

The glide kills it in light winds

i was donw in south padre this winter when doyel was testing some prototypes of this board. i could stay up wind on a 15m fuel with a pulley bar and a skimboard, doyel was on a 17.5 machine and his proto and not able to stay upwind. i'm not saying that this board dosen't work well, but i think a skim board and a smaller faster kite works just as well or better.
